Comments: I was only in my mid-teens, but an avid folkie when Chad Mitchell left the Trio in '66. That year, Peter Purvis, my high-school music teacher, introduced me to the combination of political satire and music as delivered by those such as Tom Lehrer and the Chad Mitchell Trio (among others). I had been aware of the Trio through its appearances on the Canadian TV show "Let's Sing Out" (hosted by Oscar Brand), but Peter REALLY helped to spark my interest. So...since '66, I have avidly collected anything of the Trio's that I could get my hands on. But this one absolutely takes the cake - especially the salvaged '60's kinescopes of the TV appearances. DON'T HESITATE TO BUY THIS SET - it will knock your socks off! The only missing performance I would wish for in a perfect world would be the "Let's Sing Out" appearance in which the Trio performed "The 12 Days of Christmas". Bravo! to the producers, and Bravo! to Rediscover Music!
