Working closely with Mickey, a few of his close friends have assembled an 8 CD boxed set entitled The Mickey Newbury Collection of ten of Mickey's earliest albums from the seventies. They've also prepared a 48-page booklet containing a tribute to Mickey, excerpts from a number of articles about him, and words to all of the songs. The albums, originally released between 1971 and 1981 are:
