Detailed Description
NEW FRONTIER and TIME TO THINK CD
Released in November of 1962 and taking its title from President Kennedy's inaugural address, NEW FRONTIER reflected the giddy whirl of the Kennedy's Camelot. It included the Trio's hit of "Greenback Dollar," and to this CD has also been added the 45 version with the word "damn" bleeped out by a guitar stroke since radio would not play the uncensored version. TIME TO THINK, on the other hand, was recorded in late 1963, including John Stewart's composition, "Song For a Friend" which was written about JFK's assassination and recorded on the day of his funeral. The title accurately reflects the mood of the country and the album is certainly the most thoughtful ever recorded by the Trio.
