After two years of intense effort, Pete Curry, the author of the highly praised PURE DAVE book on Dave Guards banjo-playing technique,
has just released another book on banjo-playing, this one entitled FOLK BANJO.

Folk Banjo - that is, the playing styles of those banjoists who came to prominence during the Folk Era, has been sadly neglected, not only
by those publications that cater to acoustic music in general, but even those that cater to the five-string banjo in particular. This is in spite of the fact that many of todays most prominent five-string banjo players list Pete Seeger, Dave Guard, Erik Darling and Eric Weissberg, as well as other banjoists from the Folk Era, as key
influences.

This book overcomes that. There are write-ups on each of the banjoists featured, as well as a song from each with chords and
tabulature for the songs. In many cases, this was prepared with the help of the artists.
