Detailed Description
Border Town At Midnight CD After a nearly 20 year absence from recording, in 1994 Erik Darling, together with Sid Hausman and Lynn Lucas, recorded BORDER TOWN AT MIDNIGHT, an album of Southwestern Country Music which was an amalgam of western and native musical traditions of the American Southwest. The album captures the feel of a lonely jukebox somewhere on the border between the U.S. and Mexico where a guitar playing street musician competes with the western swing being played in the saloon across the street. The searing heat of the southwestern desert plays through the songs as does the cool nights and romantic hint of dram in a town on the border between the two cultures. The songs on the album are:
- Out On The Western Plains
- All Kinds A Love Songs
- Back To Love Again
- The Queen Of Hearts
- Santa Fe Express
- Neon Spanish Graveyards
- When A Woman Gets The Blues
- Walk Right In
- Sound Of The Railroad
- Too Far Away To Kiss You
- Sid's Special
- C.C. Rider
- Did The Poor Man Die?
- Border Town At Midnight
