Harry Nilsson - Spotlight On Nilsson / John Stewart - Willard CD
Harry Nilsson & John Stewart/Spotlight On Nilsson 2 Complete LPs Spotlight on Nilsson and Willard on one CD.
An unusual combination of two very different LPs by two very different artists together on one CD. Even the notes seem strained in trying to tie them together, saying, This collection spotlights two major performers: one is in the process of finding his own voice; the other already has done just that. Huh? Which is which, and what does that mean? Then they (the notes) go on to say, both were, in the broadest sense of the term, singer-songwriters who had an important role to play in the folk-rock movement of the 1960s. OK, so what? Thats a reason to put these two artists and albums together? Regardless, whatever you think of Harry Nilsson and this combo CD, its great to have WILLARD available again, particularly since it includes a previously unreleased bonus track, Naked Angel, recorded during the WILLARD sessions on April 9, 1970. The booklet is also reversible and can be turned so that the CD appears to be of WILLARD only.
