Comedian, actor, film producer, writer and director Jerry Lewis (born 1926) is best-known for his own particular brand of slapstick humor. The Jerry Lewis Show was an ABC variety series that aired from September to December 1963. This particularly packed episode, aired soon after the assassination of John F Kennedy, features Jerry Lewis with a whole host of guests. Sam Cooke performs a classic rendition of Twistin' The Night Away, there's vintage footage of Cassius Clay reading poetry and special appearances by The Marquis Chimps, Patrice Munsel and Phil Foster.
