The name Theodore Bikel is virtually synonymous with Jewish and Israeli folk music. Signed by Jac Holzman to Elektra Records in the mid-'50s, Theo recorded over a dozen albums featuring an eclectic repertoire of folk songs from Russia, Eastern Europe, and Israel. Theo and Jac carefully explored the rich Bikel catalog and selected these 26 Yiddish theatre and folk songs for this numbered limited edition CD.
