Another protg of Woody Guthrie, Ramblin' Jack is the missing link between Guthrie and Bob Dylan. The songs from his first Vanguard record, Jack Elliott, appear as the first 12 tracks in this collection. Bob Dylan lent his harmonica prowess to "Will The Circle Be Unbroken" using the pseudonym Tedham Porterhouse. Also on Ramblin' Jack's original Vanguard album was "House Of The Rising Sun," previously recorded by Dylan on his first album for Columbia. In addition to the complete Jack Elliott album, this release includes a goldmine of 13 previously unreleased studio recordings.
